For the 12th year, Casa Africa is holding the Casa África Prizes for Essays on African Themes, with a view to acknowledging, promoting and publicizing unpublished and original essays that boost the knowledge and viewpoints that individuals have of the African continent. The due date for submission is 17th September, 2020.
Who is Eligible for Casa Africa 2020.
Entrants need to be 18 years and above.
Applicants must not have any sort of working and/or expert relations with Casa África, or with any of the institutions that form part of it (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation, Spanish International Development Co-operation Agency, Canary Island Government and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council).
Synchronised submission are undesirable. Just one essay per author will be accepted, however a single essay may be signed by numerous authors, in which case, each of them must present the documents asked for

Paperwork: It is vital to complete completelythe entry form. The same title and pseudonym/s that appear on the essay presented to the competitors must also appear on the entry form, together with other information on the author or authors of the work: name and surnames, National Identity Card or Passport number, citizenship, address, telephone signature, e-mail and number.
The essay must be sent in WORD format, along with the entry application and the photocopy of the National Identity Card or Passport must be sent out by email only, to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The due date for submitting essays and the needed documents is 17th September 2020.
Any essays that arrive after the due date will not be accepted. Participants whose documentation is not received completely within the established deadline will also be omitted from the competition.
The word count required is a minimum of 15,000 and an optimum of 20,000 words (excluding bibliography).
